Sometimes, when I look at the different creatures and characters in Splinterlands, I find myself thinking about where they actually live. We see them on cards and during battles, but we rarely think about the places they might call home. I imagine there are plenty of strange locations in this universe that would be just as interesting as the creatures themselves.

Think about it for a moment. Not every creature can live in the same kind of environment. Some seem better suited to forests, others to mountains, oceans or places that are difficult to imagine. If the Splinterlands universe were a real place, travelling from one region to another would probably feel like visiting completely different countries.

A Forest That Never Sleeps

I have always liked the idea of a mysterious forest filled with unusual creatures. Imagine a place with enormous trees, strange plants and animals that are completely different from anything we know.

Some creatures might live high up in the trees, while others stay hidden beneath the ground. There could be small settlements that are difficult to find and paths that only experienced travellers know how to follow.

I can imagine such a place being peaceful during the day but completely different at night. Perhaps some creatures only come out after sunset.

The World Beneath the Water

The underwater world is another place I would love to explore. We know that water is one of the elements represented in Splinterlands, but imagining what exists beneath its surface is a different experience.

There could be enormous underwater cities, hidden caves and creatures that have never been seen by outsiders. Some might live close to the surface, while others could inhabit the deepest parts of the ocean.

I also imagine that travelling underwater would require completely different skills. A creature that is powerful on land might struggle in an environment where everything depends on swimming and movement through water.

Mountains That Reach the Clouds

Another location that comes to mind is a mountain range so high that its peaks disappear into the clouds.

Such a place could be home to creatures that rarely interact with those living in lower regions. The weather might be unpredictable, and reaching the highest points could be extremely difficult.

I would also imagine ancient structures hidden among the mountains. Perhaps some creatures have lived there for generations, protecting places that outsiders know very little about.

Places Nobody Wants to Visit

Of course, not every interesting location has to be beautiful.

There could be abandoned villages, dark caves and forgotten territories that even experienced travellers avoid. These places might contain creatures that prefer isolation or locations associated with events from the past.

I think these environments would add another layer to the Splinterlands universe. They would give some of its creatures a more interesting background and help explain why different characters have such unusual appearances.

If I Could Visit One Place

If I had the opportunity to explore one of these imaginary locations, I would probably choose the underwater world.

There is something about the idea of discovering an entirely different environment beneath the ocean that appeals to me. I would want to see the buildings, meet the creatures and understand how they live without depending on the world above them.

I would also be interested in finding out whether different underwater communities exist and whether they have their own traditions.

These are just some of the places I enjoy imagining when thinking about the Splinterlands universe. They are not necessarily locations confirmed by the game’s official story, but they show how much room there is to explore beyond the usual card battles.

For me, that is part of the fun. Sometimes, you don’t need to be fighting a battle or collecting rewards to enjoy a game. You can simply look at its world, appreciate the creativity behind it and imagine what else might be out there.
