Hello, community! The Halloween event has finally come to an end; I truly enjoyed it and managed to collect most of the themed skins! As November begins, new updates arrive in the game—including the debut of the latest Archon, "Druid's Golem" (Death class), which is quite interesting. However, my full attention is focused on the current conflict featuring the Archon "Oblivion." There is still a full month left before this conflict concludes—plenty of time to acquire the final legendary Archon from the Core set, "Hanv," which I plan to purchase in the coming weeks. While we work on completing our collection, the Archons we already possess have enabled us to reach Division I of Bracket III. This is a significant achievement, especially considering that I reached this milestone using primarily cards from the Core, Escalation, and Rewards sets. Let’s take a look at a summary of what we’ve accomplished during this second season of October.

Que tal comunidad! Finalmente ha terminado el evento de Halloween, la verdad que lo disfrute bastante y logré hacerme con la mayoría de las skins temáticas! Con el inicio del mes de noviembre nuevas noticias llegan al juego, entre ellas la llegada del más reciente arconte Druid's Golem de la clase muerte, es muy interesante la verdad, pero toda mi atención se la ha llevado el último conflicto, el arconte Oblivión. Queda un mes completo para que este conflicto llegue a su fin, tiempo suficiente para comprar el último arconte legendario del set Core: Hanv, el cual estaré comprando en las próximas semanas. Mientras terminamos de completarlos, los arcontes que ya tenemos nos han permitido alcanzar la división I del bracket III, esto ha sido un logro importante ya que he usado en su mayoría solo cartas del set Core/Escalation y Rewards para alcanzar esta meta. Pero veamos un resumen de lo que hemos conseguido en esta 2da temporada de Octubre.

With this card pool, I managed to secure the 16th position on the leaderboard. Climbing any higher has proven difficult, as opponents at this level rely on those wretched "Rebellion" set cards. Believe me, I’ll be celebrating with a bottle of Chivas Regal whisky the moment that infamous card set is finally rotated out of the Modern format! For now, we’ve managed to rank among the top 20 in this bracket, earning a reward of 25K Glints—bringing our total haul to over 800K Glints! We’ve broken our own record once again, having generated 560K Glints last season.

Solo con estas cartas, me he logrado ubicar en la posición 16 de la tabla de posiciones y no he podido ascender más ya que los oponentes a ese nivel usan las miserables cartas Rebellion. Créanme voy a celebrar con una botella de whisky Chivas Regal cuando ese infame set de cartas salga definitivamente de moderno. Así que por lo pronto nos estamos ubicando entre los 20 mejores de este bracket y la recompensa fue de 25K en Glints, pero en total alcanzamos más de 800K en Glints! Batimos nuevamente nuestro récord ya que la temporada pasada generamos 560K.

Where we did see a low return was in SPS; in fact, I believe I earned even less than last season. Including what we gained from Brawls, we totaled 683 SPS—which is barely 50% of what we used to earn before the implementation of the bracket system and the new reward structure. The only conclusion I can draw is that a larger amount of staked SPS is now required to boost rewards—both in terms of Glints (which are actually quite good) and SPS, the latter of which has definitely seen a drastic reduction under this bracket system.

Donde si obtuvimos poco fue en Sps, de hecho creo que conseguí menos que la temporada pasada, con casi 286 glints, sumamos 683 Sps si consideramos lo obtenido en las Brawls, es decir, apenas llegamos al 50% de lo que lográbamos conseguir antes de la implementación de los brackets y el nuevo sistema de recompensas. Lo único que puedo pensar es que ahora se requiere una mayor cantidad de Sps en taking para incrementar la cantidad de recompensas tanto en glints (que ya son bastante buenas) y en Sps que definitivamente se han reducido drásticamente bajo este sistema de Brackets.

The first thing I did was invest a portion of my Glints into Ultimate Chests. With this many Glints, I’ll easily be able to purchase Epic reward cards and upgrade them to level 3—the maximum level allowed for play in Bracket 3. I decided to try my luck with these chests to see if I could pull any Rare or Epic scrolls to unlock some of these cards. Before opening them, I also made sure to acquire at least 100 Alchemy Potions. I’ve already burned through nearly all of my potions opening Foundations packs; believe me, you have to be careful with how you use them—they run out very quickly!

Lo primero que hice fue invertir una parte de mis glints en cofres ultimates, ya que con esta cantidad de glints sobradamente podré comprar las cartas épicas rewards y así completar estas cartas a nivel 3 que es lo máximo para jugar en el bracket 3. Así que quise probar suerte con estos cofres y ver si conseguíamos pergaminos raros o épicos para ir liberando algunas de estas cartas. Antes de abrir estos cofres, también me hice con al menos 100 pociones de alquimia. He gastado casi todas mis pociones abriendo packs Foundations, y créanme hay que saber medir el uso de estas pociones porque se gastan bastante rápido.

Well, the outcome from these chests was, frankly, quite disappointing. I was hoping for something better than a pile of Common scrolls and a handful of Rare/Common cards. I should have listened to my friend @cpol—he warned me that the rewards in these chests were poor. It’s almost as if I had bought lower-tier chests instead!

Bueno, el resultado de estos cofres fue sin dudas bastante decepcionante, esperaba algo mejor que un montón de pergaminos comunes y cartas raras/comunes. Debí hacerle caso a mi amigo @cpol, el me advirtió las recompensas tan pobres de esos cofres, es que pareciera que hubiera comprado cofres menores!

At the very least, I managed to upgrade a couple of reward cards and earned enough energy to replenish what I had spent just hours before the season ended.

In short, friends: I wouldn't recommend spending your Glints here, given the very low odds of getting anything better than Common or Rare items. Glints, much like sparks, represent a tokenization of the time we spend playing the game; by investing them in chests—which are essentially mediocre lotteries—we are effectively throwing away the time we spent farming these tokens. I recommend using them to purchase the reward cards you still need.

En resumen amigos, no recomiendo estar gastando los glints en estas probabilidades tan bajas de conseguir algo mejor que objetos comunes y raros. Los glints, al igual que los sparks son una tokenización de nuestro tiempo dedicado al juego, y al invertirlo en estas loterías tan mediocres que son los cofres lo que estamos haciendo es tirar al fuego el tiempo que dedicamos a farmear estos tokens. Recomiendo dedicarlos a la compra de las cartas de recompensas que te hagan falta.

Let’s move on to something more productive: continuing to collect and strengthen reward cards. I’m still annoyed at how foolishly I wasted those Glints on "Ultimate" chests, when I could have easily invested them in reward cards instead! We’ve already maxed out the Common and Rare cards for the Silver League, and we’re gradually bringing them up to the Gold League cap. All that remains are the Epic cards—which are nearly maxed out for the Silver League—and the Legendary cards; we haven’t pulled a single Legendary from any chests, so we’ve had to buy a couple to strengthen my deck as quickly as possible. This time, we purchased 25 Epic cards, which I believe will be enough to bring all of them to level 3.

Aun sigo molesto por la forma tan estúpida en la que desperdicié esos glints con los cofres ultimate, cuando bien pude invertirlos en cartas de recompensas! Ya completamos las cartas comunes y raras hasta la liga de plata y gradualmente ya las estamos llevando al tope de la liga de oro. Solo nos quedan las cartas épicas que ya estamos por terminar de llevarlas al tope de la liga de plata y las legendarias de las cuales no hemos conseguido ninguna en los cofres y que nos ha tocado comprar un par de ellas para fortalecer mi mazo lo más pronto posible. En esta ocasión compramos 25 cartas épicas que considero serán suficientes para llevarlas al nivel 3 todas ellas.

With Joraki Venshiro at Level 3, we’ve now completed our collection of Epic reward cards. I was particularly keen to max this one out quickly because, with the "Painforge" and "Pierce" abilities, it can deal significant damage and gain the advantage of punching through enemy defenses.

Although I already have the epic cards needed to compete in the Silver League, I’m going to buy one more batch of 25 of these epic cards to try and get them to level 4 before I start investing my Glints into legendary cards.

I’ll wrap up this report with a few miscellaneous purchases—one of which is the exclusive card, Bakko Vharos! I have a feeling that this card, along with the exclusive legendary, will be key components of the meta we’ll see next year. I managed to gather the necessary vouchers on the Hive Engine (HE) to purchase one copy of this card. It has the advantage of being dual-elemental—Death/Fire—but it seems to me that it really gains value at level 4. For now, I’ll pick up one copy, and if I come across any good deals, I’ll take advantage of them to level it up further.

Cerramos este reporte con algunas compras mixtas, una de ellas fue la carta exclusiva Bakko Vharos! Algo me dice que esta carta, junto con la legendaria exclusiva van a ser piezas muy importantes para el meta que tendremos el próximo año. sí que terminé de completar los vouchers necesarios en HE para comprar 1 copia de esta carta rango. Tiene la ventaja de ser bi elemental, muerte/fuego pero lo que estoy viendo es que esta carta realmente adquiere valor en nivel 4, por ahora compraré 1 copia de esta carta rara, si encuentro ofertas interesantes las aprovecharé para irla upgradeando.

I also upgraded a card from the Alvian lineage: the Owlkin Geodesist. I want to start collecting cards from this lineage to use alongside the legendary Earth Archon from the Core set. While the legendary cards are quite expensive, they perform well even at level 1; however, the common and rare cards can be leveled up to 5 and 4, respectively, which is perfect for the Bracket III tier.

Luego upgradié esta carta del linaje alvian: Owlkin Geodesist, quiero comenzar a comprar las cartas de este linaje para usar con el arconte legendario de tierra del set Core. Las legendarias son realmente costosas pero con tenerla en nivel 1 ya hace bastante bien su trabajo. Finally, I picked up the "Spooky" skin for the legendary card, Spooky Gorvash the Pallid—the last one I needed for my "Spooky" collection. I missed out on the ones that cost DEC, as they sold out way too fast, but I wasn't as interested in those as I am in the Captain Frankie skin—that’s a fantastic design, and I’ll be picking it up soon. Lo último que hicimos fue comprar la skin de la carta legendaria Spooky Gorvash the Pallid, era la última que quería tener en mi colección "Spooky". No pude comprar las que se pagaban con Decs, se agotaron demasiado rápido, pero no me interesaban tanto como la skin de Captain Frankie que esa si que era un diseño genial que pronto compraré.
