Wczoraj chęci na pokręcenie się na rowerze były ogromne, ale warunki pogodowe skutecznie wybiły mi ten pomysł z głowy. W związku z tym ograniczyłem się do leniwego krzątania po domu, a następnie ogarnąłem kilka zaległych spraw na mieście. Chrzestna była wczoraj pod opieką profesjonalistów, więc nie męczyłem jej swoim widokiem – chociaż słyszałem już z niejednych ust, że moja obecność działa na nią wyjątkowo kojąco. Nie mogę jej jednak do tego zbytnio przyzwyczajać. Za kilka dni wracamy przecież do Belgii, a nagła pustka mogłaby być dla niej zbyt bolesna.
[ENG] Yesterday, the urge to go for a spin on my bike was strong, but the weather completely ruined those plans. Consequently, I limited myself to just puttering around the house before heading out to sort out a few errands around town. My godmother was well looked after by professionals yesterday, so I didn't bother her with my presence—even though I’ve heard from more than a few people that my company actually has a very soothing effect on her. However, I can't let her get too used to it. In a few days, we’ll be heading back to Belgium, and leaving her with a sudden void would be far too difficult.
