Hey Steemits!
Last Tuesday my Dear Wife ( elfmyselfandi@elfmyselfandi ) went to the city for a check up at the hospital.

We went to have a look at mini-elf. here she is showing you her toes. I can't wait to meet her!
But this post isn't about that, I'll ramble for days and days and this will turn from a post letting everyone know we're still alive to one where you might start wondering: "why is there a picture of Sriracha at the start?"

- the fish aren't real, it's just an illusion
-

I can with confidence say that if this place isn't the spot we miss most about living in the city, then it certainly ranks up there in the top one and a half.

elfmyselfandi@elfmyselfandi and my are big fans of Pho: a Vietnamese soup. I've been eating it for half of my life now, every opportunity that I get. I remember the first time that I tried it I thought it was terrible. The restaurant wasn't very clean from what I could tell and they put both tendon and tripe in my soup! Terrible!
Over the years I found places that were some better. My perception of the service was always that it was terrible and from north american standards I believe it's understandable. And it doesn't matter where - I've had Pho everywhere, even the last time I was in Texas! It's been the same most everywhere - I certainly don't take it personally anymore!

The crew at Dang Good are different. I was so impressed the second time that I went to the restaurant that Vincent (the owner) remembered that I had been there before, even though it had been months prior.

That Chili oil that I showed the photo of earlier? He makes it himself - and if any of you can share with me how I'd be so thankful!

The place is clean and everyone who works there is wonderful.
Vince and his family insist on having fresh, high quality produce which is fantastic, and becoming more and more expected.

While providing all this he doesn't gouge you for your delicious meal, it's very fairly priced.

On top of all that, it's the smiles on our faces and the smiles in our
bellies that makes Dang Good way better than just Good.

Even the most terribly delicious tendon bits:

Hope you enjoyed my rambles. Later Steem folk.
