For all the price predictions and uncertainty since Bitcoin hit its (current) all time high in 2017, the long-term pattern is hard to miss. It's always easy to look back and see the patterns, hindsight is 20/20 after all.
Is it possible for this pattern to continue until December 31, 2020? Yes, but it probably won't. We're at the 2/3 point in the pattern, or already past it, which means a breakout may be imminent.
