........Well the temptation is actually real, everyone wants to speculate about price and that's because we've started seeing a lot of movement in the market.
Prices are no longer dumping, the "We're dead" phase is almost over (that's of we've 100% bottomed) and the hype to the market looks to be returning again.
This is why I think hype will continue to be the biggest driver of any industry. Whether it's AI or crypto, every industry will get hype whenever there are opportunities to actually make money.
Let back to price predictions, I don't think it's early. A lot of us have predicted when the market will bottom from the beginning of the year, and since the market looks like it's gotten past that bottom level.
I think the next thing to begin to predict is the possibilities for when the market will TOP, and at what price point. I still believe it's a little too early, but there's no harm in doing it, especially for the fun of it, and for education purposes too.
In some posts I did recently, I talked about the possibility of BTC hitting 375k at the top.
This isn't some crazy predictions, I think it's just a mere X3 from topping at 125k in the last cycle. Now, 375k is honestly not impossible, it would be a X6 from it's supposed bottom (58k).
However considering the fact that the BTC price was supposed to hit 180k in the last cycle but only topped at 125k, would mean that it's possible that BTC tops at 250k. If this happens it would mean that the market has once again, underperformed.
A lot of people might argue that 250k is not such a bad place to top, but the truth is that if we consider this historically we'll realize that it is actually going to be a crazy underperformance.
Anything below 350k will be an underwhelming performance, and somehow, I expect the BTC price to already begin to achieve the 200k to 220k range by April 2028 (after the halving of BTC) if it's probably below this level, there's a high chance that it's probably going to be another cycle where the coin underperformances again, and other alts might basically underperform too and not match their previous tops of January 2025.
But BTC pump might decide to take a different turn and not actually control how alts might perform this time, it's all speculations, but I'm not particularly feeling that alts will outperform the last top of January 2025. Maybe it's just me being paranoid, maybe it's not, but again, I can be wrong. This isn't to say alts won't do a x10 to x15.
Infact alts like Hive did X10 or a bit more from the bottom. If we replicate that in this cycle then it would mean topping at somewhere like 37 to 40 cents. Which looks 100% realistic and can even do better than that a little.
Okay these are just my predictions based on what the market looks like, and based on past behaviours. I think they can completely go south and all that, but again, it can turn out incredibly well and even better than how I predicted it.
As for BTC, I'm tilting towards it not getting past the 300k price range for whenever it'll top.
But wouldn't this mean the market has underperformed? I think yes, I expect the market to underperform just like in the last cycle, but this doesn't we won't get to have fun and take good profit, it just mean we might not see the fireworks that was synonyms with the 2013, 2017 and 2021 runs.
Also, don't take my predictions for it, a nice X10 on your alt bags and a good X3 on your BTC holdings is still a decent win. However, I might continue adjusting my predictions based on market dynamics.
