Last Thursday, my family and I went out and visited a farm in the area, and, among other things, came back with over 3 pounds of strawberries.
I enjoy strawberries, but we had a ton of them so it was time to get creative and find ways to use them in dishes. My wife did some searching online and found a recipe for a strawberry and basil salad with goat cheese. Sounded a bit odd to me, but it turned out to be pretty good!
Next, we froze some and found a good recipe for strawberry margaritas! Check them out:
They were very good and very strong! We enjoyed them responsibly and plan to enjoy more in the near future as we still have a bunch of frozen strawberries and plenty of limes to be juiced!
The kids have enjoyed all the strawberries at meals – very delicious!
