I love a good piece of meat so when my wife and kids were going to be out late visiting friends, I grabbed a steak for dinner. It took a few weeks, but I finally had my first steak of 2021, so here it is:
This was a 20 ounce t-bone steak with OK marbling. I was going to go with a ribeye, but they were $11.99 a pound and the t-bones were on sale for $7.99 a pound so I called an audible and picked up the t-bone. I paired the medium rare steak with an old vine zinfandel (dry) and had onions and jalapenos on the side, which was perfect.
