My mother🎵
A poem I sang at the age of 5 , which my school teacher taught me, I always sang this song for my mom at that tender age and my mum will smile so passionately seeing her little baby sing.

Mothers are wonderful being and walking miracle.
My mom is my closet buddy. In her heart is love and in her spirit is fire and her tongue is wisdom and comfort. I am her duplicate in physique, she knows my in and out , she knows when am in a relationship or not, she knows when am lieing and when am saying the truth. She is my support, my advisor, comedian, prayer warrior, disciplinarian . All I am and ever hope to be I owe it to my mama.

MEMORIES

(First day at school)
I will never forget my first experience at school at the age of 3. I was so excited to go to school, with my finely pressed uniform, brown shoes , pink bag and a beautiful white socks on my feet, my mum carried my lunchbox and held me with the other hand to school. On reaching the school's gate with two minders in front , I started crying saying 'I want to go home', my mum gently handed me over to this mean looking minders, I felt betrayed by my mum. I cried throughout that day. Once it was 12pm, school dismissed and my mum came to pick me. I ran so passionately towards her like I haven't seen her since ages.😂😂😂. It's just impossible to stay angry at mama.

(The accident)
This memory is really personal, but I will love to share .
At age 5, I had an argument with my cousin about changing my dirty cloth. He said I should remove it and get a cleaner one, I declined... He got angry and in the process he hit my eyes, geez! I could literally see stars, my eyes became swollen. The only word I could scream out with tears in my eyes was 'mummy'
She rushed in, grasped me in her arms , seeing my swollen eyes she took me to an optician. I was admitted for two months.

This two months , my mum wasn't consistent with her job, because she had to look after me. Like she would always say 'my child is my job' .
When I got better in the month of May , she hosted a big birthday party for me. She called friends and family to help her celebrate her baby for not losing sight.

Adolescent Age
At age 15 , With the euphoria of being a teenager, I was full of energy, wanted to experience life, I became a bit stubborn. My mum called me and adviced me saying 'young woman i have seen life, I have gone through this stage, why not calm down and be more responsible , and this your numerous friends, thousand and one phone calls, always looking at the mirror won't help you , just calm down and read your books'. Thank God I took her advice, am now a better lady!

Matriculation Day
My mum was so excited about my admission into the Higher Institution. When the list was released, I called her and told her i was amongst persons admitted, she was crying on the phone saying Thank you Jesus.
On the day of my matriculationFamily and friends came to celebrate her baby!.
My mom danced with happiness to the beat of Woju . I just could not hold myself but to join the dance , I was laughing at my aunt's step. Mums are just amazing💜💜💜💜💜

The Love I have for my mum is like the running waters from the Atlantic, it never runs out.
I always call her My backbone, because of the support she gives me consistently. Even when friends were far my mum was always present.
