Looking at the picture, I see my mum—always ready to be in a spiritual environment. That is how she brought me up. She doesn't play with prayer.
I am not saying she prays all day. What I am saying is that when it is time to work, it is work with a touch of prayer.
Hmm! I remember June 1st, when I was about to embark on a camping journey. She said to me, "Joseph, let us pray." Of course, we did—but my mind was focused on the journey ahead.
That wasn't all on that very day. She says to me "Repeat after me: I drink the blood of Jesus," and more.
Though I get tired sometimes; I just accept whatever she says. Mama and her words!
Funny enough, I prayed in the bus. This was after seeing another bus driver on his way to the great beyond and all the others unconscious during my journey. I began to recite my mummy's words: "I drink the blood of Jesus. I take the blood of Jesus."
That aside, at Ikare, I made many friends, and up till now, many colleagues still call me Pastor. They say I talk like one. Actually, I don't want to be a pastor, but I want to preach the gospel.
My mum is a teacher, and I like to teach. Additionally, I love to touch lives. I want to build a generation of people who are God-fearing and academically sound. My dad is also an academic. He is, also, a pastor.
The academic environment that I have been exposed to has helped me in many ways. It helped me focus on my education while at school.
As I grew up, I saw reasons why my parents chose to stick to their academic and spiritual routine.
This has increasingly helped me focus more on my path as an academician and as a preacher.
There are times when things don't go as planned.
I have failed, but my mum's words woke me up. She always say "Phazy, always have faith, just like the mustard seed. Don't use your own mouth to utter bad words."
When I cried, she said to me, "Cry, cry hard, but don't lose yourself. Start all over, or continue."
Thanks, Mum. I love you.
In short, if you see me, you might see a reflection of my mum.
Thanks for visiting!
Bye.
Thanks @ecency, and @LOH
