Lymph nodes or glands are small pieces of tissue located entirely in the body. These glands contain bacterials, viruses, and white blood cells that help fight the danger of infection.
If you have rubella, usually the backs of the ears, behind the head and neck are swollen. In some cases, this swelling can be painful.
Lymph nodes can sometimes begin to swell before the rash develops and last for several weeks without spillage.
