Ecency’s New Tipping Feature

Hive account@ecency has implemented tipping into their app, really cool! I just noticed it this morning. It shows up as a new symbol, a little parcel underneath each post on the right side. You can give the author a little extra value on top of your upvote if you really liked their work. Value for value.

I know Hive has had the option to tip authors for a long time, but on many frontends it’s either not shown at all or hidden somewhere from a user’s point of view. Ecency has now brought this feature right to the front. You honestly can’t miss it when viewing an article. You see it while scrolling through the feed, and also once you open a post, lower right-hand corner.

Another really cool feature is that you can tip with any coin or token available in your wallet, whether it’s HIVE, HBD, or something else.

I took a few pics as examples to show how it works in the Ecency app. The post I used was a review by Hive account@thefed of the iconic Terminator movie from 1984, so have a look and check it out.
