As you can see on this opening photograph ...
... with a little help of your cat, you can prepare a nice, elegant dish ideal for posh, ceremonial banquets of all kinds.
I was cooking some pretty ordinary stuff, must have been a goulash variation of some kind, don't remember exactly - these photographs were taken some months ago.
While I was cooking around the kitchen, my junior assistant, a cat called Malatz, decided to take a nap in the small dish I left there just to have a place where to lay spoons, knives and stuff like that, in between short & precise culinary interventions around the boiling food.
I prepared some very classic mashed potatoes as well that day. Only a bit of salt and butter was added, if I remember correctly ... which is highly improbable, I barely remember what I ate last evening. On the following photograph ...
... you can see the crucial moment in the procedure when a bit of salt was put in the mashed thing. This is a delicate, very tense part of the operation, you can screw the whole thing with too much salt, now that is almost over.
Malatz didn't care about all that, he doesn't care about potato - related stuff. Malatz is a convinced carnivore. If Malatz was a vegetarian, he'll be one of those pretty rare vegetarians who don't waste any opportunity to ask a non-vegetarian: "How you can eat that ugly, dead thing that still smells like murder?" He ignores vegetables until the vegetables keep the safe distance, but when those things come uncomfortably close to him, Malatz hates them, despise them, and he's not ashamed to show his feelings.
Later that day ...
... Malatz evicted some old, moldy loafs of bread from the cardboard bag and took possession of their home ... to take another nap there.
I saw him again a few hours later ...
... he was comfortably placed in the dustpan.
As always in these posts on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
