I had plenty of stuff to do today. Been in the city, and on the beach too. Seen some friends and my doctor as well. So I didn't have much time & energy to create a long post. I'm about to show you only ten plants photographed a long time ago. During the summer of 2008. Have a good viewing.

(Enlargeable)

Here you can see three flowers of the Picris hieracioides plant.

When it comes to the dry grass shown in this photograph, I can't tell you the name of the species.

This is the Colchicum autumnale flower. It was photographed in the last days of the summer.

Here you can see another portrait of dry grass. The grass in question is Avena fatua. In the following photograph ...

... you can take a look at the withered flower of the Silene latifolia plant.

This is the dry seed pod of the same plant. Silene latifolia, that is.

Here you can take a look at the Dittrichia viscosa flower and a bunch of buds underneath it.

These are the dry seeds of the Trifolium angustifolium clover.

Can't tell you what plant is this. But I'll say that is very beautiful in my opinion.

In this last shot, you can take a look at the wild carrot (Daucus carota)

The following links will take you to the sites with more information about some of the protagonists of this post. I found some stuff about them there.

AND THAT'S IT. HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS QUICK LOOK AT SOME OF THE PLANTS THAT GROW IN THE MEADOWS HERE IN MY AREA. AS ALWAYS HERE ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK.

THE END
