SYMPHONY OF TEXTURES // Micro-Scale Fusion of Wildflower Puffballs and Forest Fungi
Good night to all my beloved hive friends ❤️
Let me introduce you to this plant, known locally as sawi langit, which most likely belongs to the Asteraceae family. This particular flower has a shape consisting of small, clustered heads, but after I looked deeper into the information about this plant, I discovered that these are actually old flower heads that have matured and turned into dry fruits. What makes them interesting is that these fruits have many fine hairs that look like white fibers, which help the tiny seeds inside them fly and spread widely when carried by the wind.
The population of this plant is widely spread throughout my area, and it is considered a weed that is disliked by many people, especially farmers.
Actually, this plant has small flowers with a bright purple color, and its beauty becomes even more noticeable when we look at them from a closer distance, and young flowers also contain plenty of nectar, making them an important food source for flying insects such as bees, butterflies, and hoverflies.
It is precisely the process of the flowers changing into fruits in this sawi langit plant that is very interesting to discuss, but due to my lack of knowledge, I do not dare to explain it.
At first glance, there is nothing interesting about this plant, but try looking at it from a different perspective.
As soon as I photographed it using a macro lens, every detail of this flower became clearly visible. Its colors and shape are the parts that stand out the most. This is an extraordinary hidden beauty — something that looks simple can actually become the most interesting thing. We only need a little effort to truly see and discover the beauty within it.
I myself do not know the name or species of this particular mushroom. It is very difficult to identify because there are so many species with similar shapes and appearances. In terms of its appearance, this mushroom has a very long stem that looks like a thin stick or wire, while its cap looks like an umbrella, widening as it extends upward.
This particular mushroom grows on top of dry grass. It is very small but quite long. It was very difficult to capture its beauty, so I decided to photograph it using a macro lens, and the result is what we can see together here.
Based on its appearance, this mushroom is most likely already quite old, and this can be seen from its faded color and its texture, which has become dry and hard.
