Achillea millefolium it's a very common plant on the coastal meadows here in my area ... and throughout all temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere ...
... and wherever it grows, is highly regarded as food and medicine.
It has been used from like forever, to ease or cure quite a few symptoms ... to treat hemorrhaging or open wounds... to ease rashes ... to relieve pain ... to reduce fever and aid in restful sleep ...
... I use it mostly to ease the effects of gastrointestinal disorders that are here with me, to annoy & irritate, since ... I don't know, like forever, I remember them from the childhood ... but in the teenage days with new reckless habits :D and lifestyle they got pretty strong, even crippling at times ...
... now, I mean for more than a decade now, with coffee and cigarettes completely out of the way, and alcohol just very rarely ... I feel pretty good ... and after a cup of this kind of herbal tea, even great.
I took these herbal selfies in the spring of 2016 ... in the evening.
As I was picking the yarrow ... the lovely tiger mosquitoes were feeding on me. They are native to Southeast Asia, but are well established here for some decades now ...
... the moon was almost full ...
... and the quiet evening atmosphere, with subdued light and sounds of birds & crickets, was also some kind of medicine ...
... being a big fan of the moon, I can watch that disc for hours ...
... and, while watching I can often take plenty of similar - looking, slightly unnecessary photographs ...

... and this is an evening portrait of the cluster of small flowers at the top of the yarrow plant.
This shot was taken in the middle of the day, some days later probably.
Many small pollinators are visiting the yarrow flowers, and crab spiders often wait in ambush, well camouflaged on this floral background.
