I spent some time near the sea today, just an hour or so ...
... and I noticed some shadows along the way. On this photograph, you can see the first one. I found it on the rocks in the tidal zone. A dry, curved stem of some coastal plant was projecting a shadow that looked almost like a stylized fish. With one more vertical line, that will create a triangle behind the ellipse, this could really be a simple drawing of some generic, archetypical fish.
Here I brought the thing closer to that vision with a couple of small photoshop interventions.
Just a few steps further, I came across one of those inflatable swimming armbands for children. The shadow of the Limbarda crithmoides plant looked cool combined with the text on that plastic thing.
Some time later I was walking along the dusty road, directed to the car.
A friend was with me ...
... so I was able to catch a couple of human shadows.
And that's it. With the last look at the shadows made by the vegetation along the road, it's time to end the post. As always here on HIVE, the photographs are my work.
