Here in Canada, we are blessed enough to be able to experience the beauty of four different seasons. Although spring is not my favorite, it is definitely one of the most revitalizing ones, and there are some obvious signs as to when it is approaching. The plants start budding, there is a crispness in the air, the robins begin to make their appearance.. And, of course, the Monarch butterflies migrate back from the south.
However, when we ventured outside today, we weren't expecting to encounter any butterflies this early! We simply wanted to enjoy the change of weather, and just so happened to come across a secret haven on a forest trail. It is a beautiful, tranquil spot, away from everyone and everything else. The sounds of the crashing waterfall and running streams were extremely soothing..
Once we had our fill of peace, we continued further on down the trail. It eventually led us out of the forest and into an open field of tall grass and flowers--the perfect habitat for butterflies! And wouldn't you know it, today just happened to be the day when we would encounter a bunch of little friends here 馃槉
As anyone who has attempted to take photos of wildlife will tell you, it is not an easy thing to do 馃槄 And although the butterflies did not stick around for too long, I must say that I am still rather satisfied with the images I was able to capture 馃檪
