These pictures offer me the opportunity to walk in silence through the halls of the ancient building whose each wall, each entrance and each arch is full of stories that happened many years ago.

Walking through the dark corridor where silence reigns supreme, I suddenly noticed that there is a small window allowing some light to shine on the old walls whose texture is easily distinguished thanks to the light coming through. It is like being in the time capsule where everything waits for somebody who will be able to see its inner beauty.

Moving further with my journey, I came across the amazing hall with the walls covered with elegant brickwork and beautiful arches. Each thing in this hall is made with exceptional care.

The patterns on the walls and on the high ceiling tell the story of dedication of those who have built this place so long ago. Many centuries have passed but this place stands proudly silent.

While exploring such places, one can ponder about what kind of lifestyle the inhabitants of those places led. One can easily picture family discussions taking place in these halls, children playing, travelers resting after a long journey, and artists whose marks of labor remained in every brick of these buildings. Even though the voices of their inhabitants disappeared, memories remained in every nook of these places illuminated by light and silence.

Photos in black and white create an unusual impression of such images. Being deprived of any colors, such images emphasize lightness, texture, and forms. Contrasts of lightness and darkness create in each window the feeling of the beginning of a new chapter in history.

Today, observing such photos, one can see that visiting an ancient building means walking through the memories of another epoch. Every step shows that history does not only exist in books.
Sometimes, it remains hidden in old walls and requires a person to pause and listen with his or her heart.

Have a great time
Love you
