We have to deliver Ellie to the fireflies to get the guns from Merlene and for that, we need to go to the outskirts and now that Tess went to check the merchandise, I need to take care of Ellie as Joel and need to take him to a safe place. But what happens when we go outside of the quarantine zone? Let's check that out.
Both Joel and Ellie came outside of the safehouse of Merlene and it looked like there were some dead bodies that I thought I took down before but then I checked and confirmed that it was not my kill. The girl, Ellie was surprised seeing the bodies there.
As there's no map in the game, I had to find my way all by myself and I started using that down alley to get where I meant to take the girl and the girl kept following me. There I noticed soldiers were patrolling around and asking everyone to get inside asap.
We reached this place where we had to climb those stairs but the lower part was broken so Ellie was asking how we would get up there. I started looking for things that we can use to climb up cause I knew there should be something around.
I found that big trash bin that I moved and left below the stairs and then I used it as extra height and I climbed to the stairs. Ellie followed me and climbed up there easily.
Then we were walking through these lanes, I didn't know where we were going and it looked like Ellie kept following me like a loyal kid. It it coincidental that I started playing this game right after God of War where I have to be a parent again?
And we reached a room where they'll wait for Tess to come and Joel went for a nap. Ellie seemed surprised seeing him lying on the couch at this point so asked him what he was doing and Joel replied that he was about to kill some time and he also added that Ellie should know what she need to do in this time when the girl asked what she'll do now.
After a moment, Joel got up and it seemed like a long time has passed already and it was raining outside. Ellie was watching the rain and when Joel got up, the girl said its her first time seeing a civilized area from this close.
Tess came over and confirmed that she checked the merchandise so they were going for the delivery and then after checking outside, Tess moved a furnisher there and they went to another room which seemed like a secret passage for them.
There I had to start a generator to make the elevator running and we went downstairs towards somewhere that I didn't know about.
Then I noticed we came outside of the quarantine zone and Joel confirmed that it was safe to go outside though I noticed two guards there above a container. The place looked devastated and it looked like there was a wrecked train there.
We came out of the hole and we started running towards the container where I noticed the guards walking and we were going through the same container. I was trying to capture good pictures keeping the frame in good angles.
Right when I was coming out of the container to the other side, a female guard hit Joel and he fell on the ground. The other guard was behind the rest two.
They had all of them in gunpoint and one of the guards already called for reinforcements saying they got trespassers and needed a van to take them in. The girl looked too scared when the grownups tried to bride them but they were rude enough that they couldn't even talk to them.
