If I was hungry and starving, maybe, but I'm not sure I would eat dog by choice. I have eaten a few things in Japan and asked what they were and was told "I'm not sure". I never found out whether that meant "I don't know the English name" or "I'm not sure if you'd want to know". I'm thinking maybe whale or something like that and I'd rather not know, but if it was and I had known what it was when it was offered, I'd politely decline....
