I woke up at dawn to a jarring alarm on my phone. When I heard that sound, I knew what it means. Rain again! And more rain as the alarm level raised to red rainfall warning at 8 o'clock this morning.
It has been raining since Monday due to Low Pressure Area. It's cold, it's dark and I am feeling sluggish. I was thinking of ways to energize and warm myself. How about a bowl of chocolate porridge or champorado? That would be perfect for the cold, rainy day.
So I went out to buy ingredients for my chocolate porridge from the sari-sari store. Everything around was damped. The plants, the trees, the soil, including my feet. It felt uncomfortable but that's how rainy days feels like. Maybe because I love the sunny days more so I hate walking on dampen soil in cold and wet feet.
Dark thick clouds hovered in the sky. I believe there's no chance the sun's gonna appear today. Though it kinda make me sad but I know I can make it through the rain. Oops! That's sounds like Mariah Carey's song. Scenarios in the rain can really make you sing these songs. 馃槅
As I was walking through the rain, I can't help but took photos of things worthy to take a little byte on my phone's memory and a bit of my brain's memory too.
Those droplets of water on the suface of the leaves are oozing with life and beauty I just couldn't ignore.
Array of lush green cassava plants along the wet road had me stopped for a while to be mesmerized by its glowing beauty as the droplets of water add vibrance to it.
This fluffy looking, round fruits of unknown plant is sending me the message of being grateful for the rain as water is life. Yeah! Let's just be grateful instead of complaining, right?
I hate it when people cannot throw there trash properly but for photography purposes, those droplets of water on this cigarette box looks so dramatic. Like how dramatic life will get when you get sick because of cigarette smoking. Take care of you lungs please.
In the the greyness of the sky and dullness of the atmosphere are vibrant colors of red that calls my attention. How can I ignore these lovely flowers around me. Their beauty are like glow in the dark. It fixed my eyen on them.
One thing more, something is loving the rain too...this brainy looking mushroom. I could really compare how life has awaken on these organisms during rainy days compared when its hot and sunny. They love wet environment. Go enjoy this weather little mushy while I'll be in my room, with nothing to do but frown. Rainy days and Mondays always gets me down. Oh! I think I'm singing a song again on my head. 馃槅
Back to the house with what I needed. Some tablea,sugar and milk powder and left over rice for a hot champorado.
Putting in left over rice, tablea and water together in a pan and have it boiled for a few minutes.
I just noticed something strange. That looks like how I feel about today's weather. 馃槅
After a few minutes... tada! Here's my favorite comfort food on a rainy day.
