Hello dear hivers! I finally got here after I failed at the first try. I don't know what went wrong there but I'm so glad I am here.
Thank you to my dear friend @labanez for introducing this platform to me. When I got here and read some blogs, something inside me was rekindled-the love for writing, now we call blogging. I think I found my niche.I realize I miss writing.
Anyhow, I am Tata from the beautiful archipelago with 7,107 islands, the Pearl of the Orient Sea... Philippines! [Why does it feel like I'm Catriona in this intro? hahah]... I am 35, a probinsyana girl, from the resilient island of Leyte. [Can I say it's the storm capital of the Philippines? From Supertyphoon Yolanda to Typhoon Odette and the latest Agaton - some of the most destructive typhoons in the country-we've been through all that and still standing.]
"I do the writing, you do the talking."
Indeed, this is how I am. A shy person who prefer listening than talking or writing than talking. I hate being on the spotlight. I shiver in fear of talking in front of many people. It would be the last thing I would do in order to survive in an apocalypse. [that -a Hyperbole].
The irony...
When I was young I love to write poems and short stories and a little of script writing for school play. I feel elated when I would get recognition from my teachers about my writings. That led me to the belief that I am good at writing. But the funny twist is, instead of being someone behind a best selling book or a columnist, or maybe a magazine editor, my job right now requires of me talking to the public. I am a teacher. Yes, I am a teacher who speaks in front of many young people. What an irony!
I am planti_Tata.
The pandemic brought out the plantita in me. It helped me a lot in coping with anxiety from this pandemic. I have a stack of ornamentals and orchids. I love philodendrons and orchids . I even dreamt of having an orchid farm someday. So instead of giving me boquet of flowers, why not plant me a garden of flowers.
