Hello. I am and always have been an introvert, so it's not easy to talk about myself. My name is Jana. I used to think that the most beautiful time is youth. Now I say that the most beautiful time is the one we live in now, today. Of course, youth by itself is an attractive time with its own aspirations, dreams, missteps, and youthful maximalism. Undeniable truth.
I got married quite early, in my twenties, and the children left home early, maybe too early, because I still felt very young in my heart. But now, my time is truly wonderful. The children are raised, the career is achieved, the house is built, and my life is well-equipped. When if not now to enjoy life, when if not now to fulfil all my unfulfilled dreams, when if not now to travel and experience new experiences.
In my youth, I wanted everything here and now. So, to build a richer life and earn money, we even lived abroad for several years. At that time, many people left to seek happiness abroad. We were no exception.
Have I become happier? We may have created a richer life, but I certainly did not become happier in a foreign country. I always missed my homeland, where my family and relatives lived, where I could greet my neighbours in my native language when I went out into the street. So after 9 years, we returned to our homeland. And I have never regretted our decision.
As far back as I can remember, I have always wanted to live in a way that would make me feel happy. I know this can be achieved when I act the way I want to, not the way my environment expects me to.
I am a curious person, and I am most interested in questions about people and life. I started to be interested in questions quite early: What is a person? How do the human mind and feelings work? Why do we act one way and not another? What is the meaning and purpose of life? How to live a meaningful life?
Time doesn't just come to us - it has to be discovered. I like to change plans if they are not very important, and suddenly, out of nowhere, find time for my loved ones. In general, I love and adore people; they are also my greatest interest in this life.
I think life is the most wonderful thing that could have happened to me. Unfortunately, from time to time I forget about it for a while. I think that in life we should all do what brings us the most joy.
One of my most important values is mindfulness. I strive for it not only in my own life, but also – to the extent I am able – I try to contribute to this aspiration in the lives of other people. I believe that by living a mindful life, there is a greater chance of seeing important life opportunities, being able to realise them, and living a more meaningful and authentic life.
I also love photography. For as long as I can remember, I have always admired and tried to capture the beauty of nature and various moments of everyday life, such as the setting sun, how its rays paint the sky, or how perfectly everything has found its place in this world.
But in general, I'm a total optimist, and I adore people. I have an unrealistic husband and two adult children. I love books and travelling. I choose summer over winter. And I love May the most - it's the month when we are all more in love - with life, dreams, each other.
With Love, Jana, 2026.
