GroVid22 ALMOST PLANTING TIME!

I am going to be planting these Seed Potato some time this week... and so, I spent some time, prepping the 25 Gallon (115L) Grow Bags

Above: Seed Potato. Yukon Gold, Red Bliss, Blue Potato, Ruby Crescent, Russian Banana, Red Thumb, and Purple Peruvian
Below: Onions NEED a Haircut!!!

Note how tall the greens are getting on the Onion. I read, and saw on many YouTube channels, about gardeners who are trimming their Onion, once they reach abut 5 inches (12cm) back to about 3 inches (7 cm). They say, this promotes stronger stalks and better onion development. So, this year, onion snip test. ONLY trim once.

First batch of GrowBags, getting filled. First up will be some bags for the Onion, and Potato, with the compost and soil behind the pile of bags:

Below: one of these Pepper Seedlings seems a bit different? Me thinks, an onion seed snuck into that Pepper tray!

Above: Speaking of Pepper Seedlings, they're growing up. AND, it's time to toughen them up a bit. FAN Added, to promote stronger stalks.
Below: I filled 18 more Seed Cells, to get ready for some more pepper and tomato seeds.

I am likely to start extra Sunbright Yellow Pepper, and some extra tomato. It looks like the Sunbright Pepper seed packet from 2021 has much less viability, so, I shall sow some 2022 Sunbright Yellow Pepper seeds. It's too soon to tell which seeds may or may not successfully germinate in numbers I prefer... but best to be ready to ADD more seeds of the varieties of that do not germinate well. Better safe that sorry.

There's always something that happens around this time of year... so, the key to gardening is, patience and flexibility. No more news on the Flowers I planted for the Pollinators, it's too soon since I just put them into soil. I'll update as they come in.
