Dinner With Family

IMG_0435.JPG

For those of you following, you may remember, that we are moving. The family and I are in the process of getting the house ready for sale. At the same time, the house on Cape Cod, the family home, closes sale on Feb 18th. We'd love to live there, but the house is built more for the views, than for growing old. The view, kitchen, living room and all, is on the top floor, with middle floor being the bedrooms, and lower floor basement. The prospect of 20 years of climbing three flights to bring in groceries is a nightmare to me.

After we list this current house, we need look for a new house in our lovely Cape Cod. Not a difficult thing, but, certainly with challenges. Mid to late winter, there is limited housing on the market. We do know, that historically, a lot more gets listed come March.

I am so excited for the prospect of moving full time to Cape Cod. I want to plan and get working on my forever garden. I want to start my next career. I want, I want I want...

I feel like, so much is on hold, or in limbo. Meanwhile, the kids have been amazing, and even one of my daughter's boytoys has been helpful moving things, ripping carpet and more.

So, as a big ole thank you I made a nice dinner for us all. Turkey Tenderloin Tips, with a Teriyaki Marinade. I roasted some Delicatta Squash, with black sesame seeds, pepper, sea salt, garlic, white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, and olive oil. Also, some oven roasted Asparagus, w/ sea salt, and olive oil. And, of course, a little Arugala, Romaine, Spinach Salad, w/ cherry tomato, cuke, celery, carrot, and some Feta!

I am really looking forward to my garden growing
harvesting my own fresh veggies and fruit.
I love providing for family and friends with my own garden.
And living right next to the ocean?
Well, nothing can beat that...except maybe living ON the ocean!

#SaveLiveEventsNow

2020... a wild and woolly year, if ever there was one. My entire industry (Special Events) was shut down on 13 March and hasn't been back yet. Personally, I am ok, but so many of my colleagues and friends are struggling with bills, paying for food and rent, medical and health insurance.

Always, I strive to give back

To the animals and birds around me

to put more plants in than I take out

And be a good steward for the world around me!
