Anyone from Ireland will know the next video that went viral in a matter of minutes after it appeared on our national news around 6 years ago. We have bad weather in Ireland that winter and this poor soul was walking along a street and was caught slipping on the ice. From that day on he was the man who slipped on ice.
The nation went on a texting spree to find out the name of the man who fell on ice who had become the most famous man in Ireland in minutes. It turned out his name was Brendan Adhere.
Why was it so funny to see someone slipping on ice? I am still giggling to this day.Even right now writing this post I am laughing. I had loads of questions at the time like:
Were the cameras set up to catch a victim? It seemed so. Like David Attenburgh watching the lions stalk a wilderbeast. In your mind you want to shout
RUN YOU FOOL. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. THERES A LION BEHIND YOU!!!
But then you leave nature take its course. I think this is what the camera crew did here. Left some poor lad crease himself on the ice!
Brendan (the guy who slipped on ice) actually released this youtube video a year after the incident which was hilarious. It also went viral. Good on you Brendan. The video is genius. I love good Irish humour. Brendan is not afraid to laugh at himself.
There is a video at the moment that is gaining traction with a man trying to avoid a car accident and then gets hit by a road sign that knocks him out. Again , could of been killed but hilarious! The sound affects were added of course but it makes it even funnier.
The American version of Brendan happened last year. He did well to keep standing for so long. But when the arms started going he was a goner.馃槀
