The market is open for GW8. Deadline: Friday, 6:30pm.
π¬ The Weekend in Brief
Diego Gomez, take a bow. Seven minutes into Brighton v Palace, he spots Benitez off his line and lobs him from just inside Palace's half. That's about 51 metres, the longest Premier League goal since Rooney in 2017. Brighton were 3-0 up inside ten minutes and won 5-0. Even his manager said he doesn't train that.
Everton 0-2 Chelsea was a proper scrap. There were seven bookings, Chelsea had four yellows inside 34 minutes, and Morgan Rogers somehow stayed on after a crunching 50-50 that Mike Dean called "a straight red". Neto scored either side of all the kicking, and Everton's unbeaten run is gone.
United got away with one at Elland Road. Leeds had 61% of the ball, 29 crosses and most of the chances after the break. United made 33 clearances, Lammens kept them in it, and somehow they left with a 1-1 draw. Mbeumo scored and the back four just held on.
Spurs won a league game. It took seven attempts, but a 3-1 win over Coventry lifted them from 20th to 16th. Maddison scored into the top corner on his first start since April 2025. Somebody check on the founder, he hasn't slept since.
Haaland was listed as doubtful and then scored twice against Ipswich anyway. Of course he did.

πͺ¦ Propping It Up
@twicejoy-sports is bottom on -200. Still time to turn it around. If he focused on this Game rather than Medals arbitrage he would be doing better , probably.
