So it's that time of year again when I'm determined to get some form of lean body. Having a naturaly skinny body doesn't help when building muscle, grit and determination is the least of the traits you need. I know I may be sounding very subjective here but everyone's different, and I've never had any size to me what so ever. So, After speaking to a friend who goes to the gym 6 times a week, he mentioned that most attention needs to be focused on the diet when building muscle, 70% in fact, leaving 30 % on the rigorous iron pumping (phew!). I found this hard to be believe but to cut a long story short he empathized the point that any benefit from any exercise only reaches its potential with a proper disciplined diet. Considering he's an absolute giant and was apparently the size of me at one point he caught my attention...
From someone who could barely lift a milk carton let alone a barbell, I decided to go all in and create a meal plan. I soon found that I'll be eating 300% more than I normally did, if not more, some days I could even survive of a packet of Quavers(for real). It's nothing to special or exotic just the right balance of foods specifically protein , fairly cheap and easily attainable.
To cut the suspense here's the plan. Some call it the meal of all meals; others, normal meals.Speaking from about 5 months experience I've gone from 130 lbs of skeleton to 150lbs of Skeleton with enough muscle to loosen a peanut butter jar. I hope this gives some sort of inspiration, just remember, never give up!!
