This time, I went with food! I drew a dumpling and a piece of sushi being held up by chopsticks. It's a simple idea, but I had fun bringing the little details together.
The chopsticks were an interesting part to work around because I wanted the food to look like it was actually being held, not just floating awkwardly in the air. Then there was the difference between the two foods: the dumpling is soft and has more folds while the sushi has several layers of different things.
I don't draw food a lot but I like how these two look together. They're both small, but they have completely different shapes and textures, which made the drawing more interesting to work on.
And now I'm thinking about food and hungry馃槙 If you had to choose between a plate of dumplings and some sushi, which one would you reach for first?
