I just made a cup of my favorite Turkish coffee, organized some of the paperwork I'm taking with me tomorrow for a head scan (just one irrelevant detail, but I counted: tomorrow will be the 11th time, btw) and nowww I can finally spam you with photos from a few days ago.
Last Friday, my fiancé and I went to my sister's boyfriend place for his family's Slava. More precisely, it was the third day of the celebration, when he invited his "younger crowd". Obviously, that includes us, no debate there. xD Lovely guests, we sat around until late, drinks were flowing, music was playing and we even sang loudly a couple of times. Such an amazing atmosphere.
We stayed over at their place and the next day, after waking up a bit later and having warm sandwiches for breakfast, we dressed properly because it was freezing outside and headed into the city. The plan was a movie and then darts, but before the cinema we had plenty of time to grab coffee at a beautiful coffee house and also to eat something. Because you donnot go to the cinema on an empty stomach. Just imagine a scene where the only sound you hear is the thunder of your rebellious stomach. 😁
In our scene, the only thing missing was snow, since it had melted in the days before, but the frost really set in and there was also some crazy wind blowing that day, so we kept our walk outside to a minimum.
To be clear, none of us had any idea what we were ordering, except my sister, she played it safe. When the drinks arrived, everyone tried everything and then we rated whose was better. The selection is huge anyway, you really should order something different every time just to try it all. I liked mine a lot, although that extra hazelnut mocha was even better!
I almost put this one in my bag and took him home for next New Year. Just kidding, I wouldn't even if I'd had a big enough bag with me. 😅
That's always our joke when we see a cool mug, glass, plate.. somewhere. Like oooh, how nice it would be to take this home, just grab it and ruuuuuuuuun!
So I'll only talk about my burger: homemade bacon, a mustard and dill sauce and a mix of fresh and pickled cucumbers, along with the standard cabbage salad, onions and tomatoes inside. Though honestly, there's not much more to say. It was gone before you could say COOKIE.
I'm not going to talk about the film, I'll just say that we weren't the only ones in the cinema, even if the photo makes it look that way. (:
Another thing where I always think I'm amazing… until I pick up the darts after a long break. I'm a disaster! Luckily, our dart machine was in the corner of the room, so I didn't injure anyone. 😅 Honestly, it took me a good three or four rounds to get my act together and start hitting somewhere near the target. I didn't care what I scored, I just didn't want my darts ending up on the floor anymore. xD
Meanwhile, my sister completely blew us away! She was amazing and then their friend showed up to join us and he's really good too. They all play darts often, so they're practiced pros.
We stayed there for quite a while. At one point, we thought about switching to billiards, but we didn’t. Probably for the best, because I have this…khm... talent for sending the cue ball onto another table with my stick. Don't ask me how. Ahhahaha.
