Hello hello, people of the Internet! How are you? Today I come with a burst of nostalgia after reconnecting with some animated cartoons that I saw when I was little through Cartoon Network, and that became my favorites, watching these animated series again was like reconnecting with my inner child and reliving the best times, the vacations when my cousin came to my house and we stayed up watching television until my parents sent us to sleep 馃槃 , that's why today I wanted to select four of those cartoons that I liked the most at that time.
隆Hola Hola, gente de Internet! 驴C贸mo est谩n? Hoy vengo con un arrebato de nostalgia despu茅s de reencontrarme con algunos dibujos animados animados que yo vi cuando era peque帽a a trav茅s de Cartoon Network, y que se transformaron en mis preferidos, volver a ver estas series animadas fue como reencontrarme con mi ni帽a interior y volver a vivir la mejor 茅poca, las vacaciones cuando mi primo ven铆a a mi casa y nos desvel谩bamos viendo la televisi贸n hasta que mis padres nos mandaban a dormir 馃槃 , por eso hoy quise seleccionar cuatro de esos cartoons que m谩s me gustaban en esa 茅poca.
Who doesn't get goosebumps watching this intro again? I loved The Powerpuff Girls because it was the first time I saw heroes like me. It wasn't about muscular men or women facing evil, it was about little girls. I mean, the society of that universe didn't just listen to children, they owed them their integrity. I loved their very different personalities, Bubbles' tenderness and Buttercup's toughness, but my favorite was Blossom for her mental agility. She well deserved her leadership because she was the perfect balance between her sisters. Plus, this series was different in every way. For the first time, I saw a family raised by a single "dad." Of course, there were precedents like the series Full House, but it wasn't from my generation. Also, during elementary school, the favorite game of the entire class was precisely The Powerpuff Girls.
驴A quien no se le pone la piel de gallina al volver a ver esta intro? Las Chicas Super Poderosas me encantaba porque era la primera vez que yo ve铆a h茅roes como yo, no se trabaja de hombres o mujeres musculosos enfrent谩ndose al mal, se trataba de ni帽as peque帽as, osea, la sociedad de ese universo no solo o铆a a los ni帽os sino que les deb铆an su integridad. Me encantaban sus personalidades tan diferentes, la ternura de Burbuja y la rudeza de Bellota pero mi favorita era Bonb贸n por su agilidad mental, ten铆a muy merecido su liderazgo porque ella era el equilibrio perfecto entre sus hermanas, adem谩s esta serie era diferente en todos los sentidos, por primera vez yo ve铆a a una familia criada por un "pap谩" soltero, claro que ha hab铆a precedentes como la serie Full House pero no era de mi generaci贸n. Adem谩s, durante los a帽os de escuela primaria el juego favorito de toda la clase era precisamente Las Chicas Super Poderosas
I loved this show not only because it was funny with Billy's occurrences, but because it was different from everything I had seen before, it was a more relaxed way of seeing death, in fact The Grim Reaper was one of the protagonists and was constantly involved in problems that she had to solve with her powers, generally all because of some stupidity done by Billy. On the other hand, I really laughed at Mandy's way of reacting, she was like a kind of Wednesday Adams, always in a bad mood, unable to smile, with a scathing comment 馃槃. My favorite episodes were those with Dracula, who was very old already but he hated being called "old" and his interactions with Grim Reaper were extremely hilarious, as well as Irwin's attempts to win Mandy's cold heart.
Yo amaba este show no solo porque era gracioso con las ocurrencias de Billy, sino porque era diferente a todo lo que yo hab铆a visto antes, era una manera m谩s relajada de ver la muerte, de hecho La Parca era una de los protagonistas y constantemente se ve铆a envuelta en problemas que ten铆a que resolver mediante sus poderes, generalmente todo por culpa de alguna estupidez hecha por Billy. Por otra parte me daba mucha risa la manera de reaccionar de Mandy, ella era como una especie de Merlina Adams, siempre de mal humor, incapaz de sonre铆r, con un comentario mordaz 馃槃. Mis episodios preferidos eran esos donde estaba Dr谩cula, el cu谩l era muy viejo ya pero 茅l odiaba que lo llamaran "viejo" y sus interacciones con Puro Hueso eran extremadamente hilarantes, as铆 como los intentos de Irwin por conquistar el fr铆o coraz贸n de Mandy.
Ahhhhh this was one of my favorites because at the time it made me feel relieved that all imaginary friends had a place to go, although I only remember having one imaginary friend, Jonathan 馃槃. This was a cute series that promoted friendship. I remember my favorite characters were Blue, because of her cheerful personality, always with a smile, it was like she lit up every space, but I also loved Cheese 馃槃 because even though he didn't speak, I found the way he reacted to certain situations very funny, like that time he was slowly going down a slope and then he would shout Wiiiii 馃槃 but when the cart started to pick up speed he would get scared and shout Ahhhhh 馃槺. I loved that Mac was always looking out for Blue, visiting him daily and helping him when he needed it. Although it focuses on imaginary friends, the series addresses themes such as friendship, growth, loss, creativity, and the importance of imagination
Ahhhhh este era uno de mis m谩s preferidos porque en esa 茅poca me hac铆a sentir aliviada de que todos los amigos imaginarios ten铆an un lugar a donde ir, aunque yo solo recuerdo haber tenido un amigo imaginario, Jonathan 馃槃. Esta era una linda serie que promov铆a la amistad. Recuerdo que mis personajes preferidos eran Blue, por su personalidad tan alegre, siempre con una sonrisa, era como si iluminara cada espacio, pero tambi茅n me encantaba Queso 馃槃 porque aunque no hablaba me daba mucha risa su forma de reaccionar ante ciertas situaciones, como esa ocasi贸n en que estaba bajando por una pendiente lentamente y entonces gritaba Wiiiiii 馃槃 pero cuando el carrito empez贸 a ganar velocidad 茅l se asustaba y gritaba Ahhhhh 馃槺. Me encantaba que Mac siempre estaba pendiente de Blue, lo visitaba a diario y lo ayudaba cuando lo necesitaba. Aunque se centra en amigos imaginarios, la serie aborda temas como la amistad, el crecimiento, la p茅rdida, la creatividad y la importancia de la imaginaci贸n.
This is my favorite of favorites, I madly LOVED this series and never missed a single episode, Courage's reactions were very funny to me because he was very scared, but I still think the name was well placed because no matter how scared he was, he always faced whatever it took to defend his family, especially Muriel, who was something like his human mother. Now that I see it as an adult, I think it could be a good metaphor that represents overcoming fears. This series, despite being a cartoon, had such an intense oppressive atmosphere that it almost came through the screen, that isolated rural environment and the dark tones made it feel unsettling, the characters who came to the house to interact with the protagonists were often very bizarre, my favorite of all of them was Fred, who also, I understand is based on a real-life character.
Este es mi favorito entre favoritos, yo AMABA con locura esta serie y nunca me perd铆a ni un solo episodio, me causaba mucha gracia las reacciones de Coraje porque 茅l era muy miedoso, pero a煤n as铆 creo que ten铆a el nombre muy bien puesto porque sin importar cu谩n asustado estaba siempre se enfrentaba a lo que fuese con tal de defender a su familia, en especial a Muriel, que era algo as铆 como su mam谩 humana. Ahora que lo veo de adulta pienso que podr铆a ser una buena met谩fora que represente la superaci贸n de los miedos. Esta serie, a pesar de ser un dibujo animado ten铆a una atm贸sfera opresiva tan intensa que casi traspasaba la pantalla, ese ambiente rural aislado y los tonos oscuros hac铆an que se sintiese una sensaci贸n inquietante, los personajes que llegaban a la casa a interactuar con los protagonistas a menudo eran muy bizarros, mi preferido de todos ellos fue Fred, qui茅n adem谩s, tengo entendido que est谩 basado en un personaje de la vida real.
