Wow... I'm stunningly behind on my Contests... well, I am going to make the excuse that I'm travelling a fair bit at the moment, and thus falling pretty behind on anything STEEM related! Thanks for everyone who replied back to the Stairs or Lifts question... I'm going to try and make it a quicker turn around for this coming round!

This week, I'm asking about what you think your least favourite sound is... our modern world is full of lots of sounds and noises, and most of it just noise pollution... background noise that is just unnessary.... and in many cases avoidable! As a musician, I tend to have a bit of a double edged approach to this... I tend to hear relatively well, but I can focus to avoid listening to things that I don't want ot listen to... however, when I'm tired... things start to get to me!

My Question

1. What is your least favourite sound?

Oh... there are so many things I could have put here... but what really drives me nuts are the people who don't disable or silence their phone's noise taps! ploop, ploop, ploop... as they type away... ARRRRRGH! Even worse than the people who don't silence their notifications, and then receive SMS/WhatsApps at the rate of 10 per second...

Just thinking about these things already drives me nuts!

Anyway, other things that I find annoying are the old Mac OS startup CLANG! ... and "background" piped music... why have music in shopping centres/malls? Music is meant to be listened to... not to add to the decibel level of the background noise!

Steem Basic Income

One of the first communities that I came in contact with at the beginning of my time at Steemit was @steembasicincome. As a author starting out on your fresh new Steemit account, Steemit can be a daunting and lonely place to be. OFten, it can feel like you are posting into an abyss with no one listening and with no ability to grow out of the situation. A share of Steem Basic Income gives you a guaranteed vote on one post a day, thus giving you a small but over time cumulative support to your account to help grow you out of your initial wilderness!

With this post, I want to help sponsor people who might not even have the spare 1 STEEM that is required for registration.
