Reading the weekend engagement topics proposed by @galenkp, I liked number two and number three, after thinking about it a bit I decided for number three and is that food is fundamental for a productive and full of energy day and much more when it comes to breakfast 馃ィ as for my favorite food there are two that I like a lot; Arepa and pastelito, but it is definitely the arepa, the most common dish in Venezuela, my favorite for a good breakfast, it has the particularity that it can be accompanied with different fillings, it is considered the queen of Venezuelan cuisine and is prepared with corn flour, many companies in the country distribute this flour with which many Venezuelan homes prepare this delicious dish, besides eating it for breakfast, it is also very common to prepare it for dinner.
Yesterday while preparing breakfast I took the opportunity to take several pictures of the process of making the arepa; add water and flour in a bowl, mix until a smooth dough is obtained, ready the dough is made into a ball, which is flattened to obtain the arepa of the desired thickness and size, then it is taken to the pan and cooked over medium heat, at this point, according to the taste of each person is the cooking time, I like it crispy medium, I prepared it with cheese, I usually add the cheese when it is very hot, I love melted cheese, it is also accompanied with margarine and for health reasons in recent years I avoid consuming margarine, but to be honest it adds an incredible flavor, besides the cheese it can be accompanied with ham, sausage, sausage, meat, chicken, fish, egg and a variety of fillings to accompany the delicious and traditional arepa.
I like to enjoy a hearty breakfast before heading out to do my daily activities. I usually accompany the arepa with a drink, such as fruit juice, and sometimes coffee with milk or hot chocolate. I believe that a good breakfast gives us the energy to fulfill the day's commitments. Since I was little, my mother taught us how important a nutritious breakfast is to perform in different activities. I remember that when I was a student, my mother would get up very early to make us breakfast. We would eat a little at home and take some to school. She used to make us arepas, empanadas, and pastries, and the fillings always varied. I try to apply the same teachings to my son and combine a good portion of protein and fruit in his breakfast, which provide energy and vitamins.
