Hello, fellow travelers! It’s a pleasure to greet you and share my visit to Los Bordones Beach, located along the coastline in the San Luis area. Considered one of the largest urban beaches in Venezuela, it offers beautiful scenery, soft sand, and a series of thatched shelters (huts) to provide protection from the sun’s rays. Nearby, there is a hotel that shares the same name, and in the late afternoon, it becomes the perfect spot to watch the sunset and take in the mountain range that stretches across the city.
Whenever I have the chance to visit this area, I make the most of it. I love the soft sand—perfect for walking and relaxing—as well as the stunning landscapes and the warm waters. You can access the beach via Plaza Cumaná; after walking about 30 meters, you arrive at the shore. Alternatively, you can enter from the back of the San Luis sector. At the entrance, there is a wooden structure identifying the beach, along with colorful lettering that spells out "Cumaná." From there, you can see the thatched huts and sunshades set up along the shoreline. The area also features several informational signs encouraging visitors to keep the beach clean; just a few meters from the entrance, one sign—made of wood and decorated with blue and red circles—reads "Do not litter." After exploring the entrance area, I headed toward the huts. The path is quite long, and the huts, which are rectangular in shape, are constructed from palm fronds and tree trunks. As you can see in the image, there are sunshades—in shades of red, orange, and yellow—placed close to the water, each with its own chairs. Behind them, the huts form a lovely walkway across the terrain near the beach.
Blessings!
¡Bendiciones!
