DIY: Leaf-shaped coaster inspired by Centauri Mage 馃崈 (Eng - Esp)
Greetings creative friends of #Hive and #Gems community, I wish you are enjoying good health together with your loved ones and have an excellent and blessed day, I am happy to share a new creative project inspired by the characters of Splinterlands Centauri Mage, this is a pair of leaf-shaped coasters, ideal for placing hot or cold drinks and avoid staining or wetting the table, regularly when we are working on the computer, sewing projects and crafts is common to take a cup of coffee, water and juice, these coasters are perfect to protect the table from possible spills, also a simple project to do and requires very few materials, I invite you and join me in the process of elaboration.
Saludos amigos creativos de #Hive y comunidad #Gems, deseo se encuentran disfrutando de buena salud en uni贸n de sus seres queridos y tengan un excelente y bendecido d铆a, me siento feliz de compartir un nuevo proyecto creativo inspirado en los personajes de Splinterlands Centauri Mage, se trata de un par posavasos en forma de hoja, ideales para colocar las bebidas calientes o fr铆as y evitar as铆 que se manche o se moje la mesa, regularmente cuando estamos trabajando en la computadora, proyectos de costura y manualidades es habitual tomar una taza de caf茅, agua y jugo, estos posavasos son perfectos para proteger la mesa de posibles derrames, adem谩s un proyecto sencillo de hacer y que requiere muy pocos materiales, les invito y me acompa帽an en el proceso de elaboraci贸n.

The first step to make these cute coasters was to mark the mold on the fabrics with soap, in this case it is not cut because the stitching is going to be on the outside.

El primer paso para elaborar estos lindos posavasos fue marcar con jaboncillo el molde en las telas, en este caso no se corta porque se va a pasar la costura por la parte exterior.
Once the leaves were marked, I placed the center piece, the top piece on top and the back piece or lining underneath it. I pinned it to make the sewing process more comfortable and prevent the three pieces from moving.
Marcadas las hojas coloqu茅 la pieza central, encima la superior y debajo de esta la pieza posterior o forro, sujet茅 con alfileres para que el proceso de costura sea m谩s c贸modo y evitar as铆 que las tres piezas puedan moverse.
I sewed the outline of the leaf with straight stitch taking as a reference the line drawn with the mold, then I removed the excess fabric with the zigzag scissors, this allows me to give it a better finish by having its edges with small points that simulate a leaf.
Cos铆 el contorno de la hoja con puntada recta tomando como referencia la l铆nea trazada con el molde, luego retir茅 el exceso de tela con la tijera de zigzag, esto permite darle un mejor acabado al tener sus bordes con peque帽as puntas que simulan una hoja.
Once I removed the excess fabric from the leaves, I traced the ribs with the ruler and the small soap, then I sewed with a zigzag stitch on each one of them.
Retirado el exceso de tela de las hojas, trac茅 con ayuda de la regla y el jaboncillo las nervaduras, luego cos铆 con puntada de zigzag cada una de ellas.
To finish I added silicone at the base of the leaf and made a small fold to form a kind of tube, I covered it with pink ribbon and this is the end of a beautiful and useful coaster inspired by Centauri Mage.
Para finalizar agregu茅 silic贸n en la base de la hoja hice un peque帽o doblez hasta formar una especie de tubo, lo cubr铆 con cinta de color rosa y as铆 est谩 terminado un hermoso y 煤til posavasos inspirado en Centauri Mage.
The coasters are very useful to protect the tables from spills, especially when they are made of wood glass and also protect the tablecloth and avoid stains when spilling some liquids such as coffee, juice, among others; in them we can use the leftover fabric of the different projects we do and combine various colors, this time they are green taking as a reference the character of Splinterlands, I hope this simple tutorial will be useful.
Los posavasos son muy 煤tiles para proteger las mesas de posibles derrames, especialmente cuando son de madera vidrio y tambi茅n proteger el mantel y evitar as铆 que se manche cuando se derraman algunos l铆quidos como caf茅, jugo, entre otros; en ellos podemos utilizar los sobrantes de tela de los diferentes proyectos que realizamos y combinar varios colores, en esta oportunidad son de color verde tomando como referencia el personaje de Splinterlands, espero este sencillo tutorial les sea de utilidad.
