A walk along the observation pier and a sudden downpour on the way back (Eng - Esp)
Greetings, fellow travelers! I hope you are having a wonderful day with your loved ones. Today, I’d like to share my visit to the observation pier located behind Marina Plaza. After walking along the pier and reaching the mound of earth at the end, we headed down to the beach and walked along the rocky path. I must say, the views from this spot are incredible; you can see the vastness of the sea seemingly merging with the sky.
After taking several photos of my son on the beach and walking over the rocks, we stopped on our way back to look at some rocks marked with white patches. This is the second time I’ve seen this type of marking on rocks—the first was during a visit to the Chaviripa Falls in Bolívar State, and now here at the beach. Although I’ve visited this area several times, I hadn't previously noticed these white lines on the rocks, and they really caught my attention. We observed them for a few minutes, took some photos, and asked a man on the pier about them. He explained that he didn't know the cause either, though he found it interesting that only some of the rocks had these markings. After examining the rocks and taking pictures, we continued along the beach route; there were several people swimming, and the surf was relatively strong. We walked along the shoreline, taking in the scenery and watching birds fly and fish.
Saludos amigos viajeros, deseo que tenga un feliz día en unión de sus seres queridos, en esta ocasión les comparto mi visita al muelle mirador, que se ubica detrás de Marina Plaza; luego de recorrer el muelle y llegar hasta el montículo de tierra, bajamos hasta la playa y caminamos el sendero de roca, debo decir que desde este punto las vistas son increíbles, se observa el mar en su inmensidad que parece unirse con el cielo.
Después de hacer varias fotografías a mi hijo en la playa y caminar por las rocas, de vuelta nos detuvimos para ver varias rocas que tenían unas manchas de color blanco, es la segunda vez que veo este tipo de manchas, en las rocas la primera fue en una visita al salto Chaviripa en el estado Bolívar y ahora en la playa, aunque he ido varias veces a esta zona no había detallado estas líneas blancas en las rocas, lo cual llamó mi atención; las observamos durante varios minutos, hicimos fotografías y le preguntamos a un señor que se encontraba en el muelle, él nos explicó que tampoco sabía por qué tienen esas manchas, pero le llamó la atención ver que solo algunas de las rocas tienen esas manchas, luego de ver las rocas y tomar las fotos, seguimos avanzando tomando la ruta de la playa, habían varias personas bañándose y el oleaje era relativamente fuerte, caminamos por la orilla,observamos el paisaje y pudimos ver algunas aves volando y pescando.
After spending several minutes observing the markings on the rocks, the landscape, and the incredible view of the beach, we took the path along the jetty. From there, one can see the various rocks that make up the breakwater—which also serves as a walkway for those heading to the beach or simply out for a stroll. From the jetty, you can view the back of the Marina Plaza shopping center, while the beach—with the Araya Peninsula in the distance—lies on the other side.
It was a clear day with a cool, relaxing breeze. As we walked along the jetty, we took several photos of its far end, capturing some of the light poles that illuminate the structure at night; we also photographed the jetty and some boats, creating a beautiful scene against clouds lit by the rays of the setting sun.
About halfway back to the amphitheater, a sudden downpour forced us to quicken our pace; everyone on the pier also moved quickly, and those on the beach headed back as well. We thought it would be a brief shower, but it wasn't. We tried to take shelter at the amphitheater entrance, but there wasn't enough space to stay dry, so we walked as fast as we could to one of the shopping center kiosks to take cover. Once the rain stopped, we headed to the stop to catch our ride home; despite the rain, it was a lovely walk along the pier, where we enjoyed the incredible scenery and spotted the curious white patches on the rocks.
Tras varios minutos observando las manchas en la roca, el paisaje y la increíble vista de la playa, tomamos el sendero del muelle, en él se observan las diferentes rocas que forman este muro rompeolas y que a su vez sirve de pasarela, para quienes se dirigen hacia la playa o deciden dar una caminata por el mismo, desde el muelle puedes observar la parte posterior del centro comercial Marina Plaza, y al otro lado la playa con la Península de Araya al fondo.
El día estaba despejado, con brisa fresca y perfecta para relajarse, mientras avanzábamos por el muelle tomamos varias fotografías de la parte final de este y se observan algunos de los postes que iluminan el muelle en horas nocturnas; también tomamos una fotografía del muelle y algunos barcos que forman un hermoso paisaje con las nubes iluminadas por los rayos del sol en el ocaso.
Cuando íbamos aproximadamente por la mitad del camino para regresarnos al anfiteatro, una lluvia repentina nos obligó a acelerar el paso, todas las personas que estaban en el muelle también se movilizaron rápidamente y las que estaban en la playa salieron para tomar el camino de vuelta; pensábamos que sería una lluvia corta, pero no fue así, intentamos resguardarnos en la entrada del anfiteatro pero el espacio no era suficiente para cubrirnos de la lluvia, así que caminamos lo más rápido que pudimos hasta llegar a una de las casetas del centro comercial y resguardarnos de la lluvia, cuando cesó nos dirigimos hacia la parada para tomar el transporte de vuelta a casa, a pesar de la lluvia fue una linda caminata por el muelle donde pudimos observar los Increíbles paisajes y ver las curiosas manchas blancas en las rocas.
