Beautiful landscapes in the coastal and mountainous areas along the Cumaná – Puerto la Cruz national highway (Eng - Esp)
Hello, fellow travelers! It is a pleasure to greet you and wish you a happy weekend with your loved ones. I am delighted to share part of my journey along the coast and the national highway connecting the states of Sucre and Anzoátegui. As I have mentioned before, this stretch of road is notable for its beautiful beaches, mountains, and Mochima National Park. The park is home to idyllic beaches and islands, making it the perfect destination for nature lovers and those who enjoy activities like scuba diving and boat trips.
Along this stretch of road, you have the opportunity to enjoy incredible views of the seascape—including Arapito Beach, Colorada Beach, and the areas of Santa Fe, Guanta, and Pertigalete, among others that line this route. I made this trip in the morning, heading toward the city of Puerto la Cruz; making the most of the time, we stopped several places to take in the scenery, snap photos, and admire the beauty of the park. The experience isn't limited to the Mochima sector—located just a few kilometers from the border between the two states—as the drive offers incredible vistas throughout: starting with the mountains of the Coastal Range along the Antonio José de Sucre Highway, passing through higher, cooler mountainous zones like Altos de Santa Fe, and eventually revealing stunning views of the aforementioned beaches, picturesque coastal villages, trails, and beautiful spots for nature-loving adventurers.
Hola amigoa viajeros, es un placer saludarles deseando que tengan un feliz fin de semana en unión de sus seres queridos, es un placer compartir parte de mi recorrido por la zona costera y la carretera nacional que comunica a los estados Sucre y Anzoátegui,como he mencionado en otras oportunidades, este tramo vial destaca por la presencia de hermosas playas, montañas y el parque nacional Mochima, que alberga paradisíacas playas e islas que constituyen el destino perfecto para quienes aman la naturaleza, bucear, pasear en bote, entre otras actividades que puedes realizar en el parque.
A lo largo de este tramo vial, tienes la oportunidad de disfrutar increíbles vistas del paisaje marino, entre ellas playa Arapito, playa Colorada, el sector Santa Fe, Guanta, Pertigalete, entre otros, que integran esta arteria vial, mi viaje por esta carretera se realizó en horas de la mañana y tenía como destino visitar la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz, aprovechando el tiempo hicimos varias paradas para observar el paisaje, tomar varias fotografías y admirar la belleza de este parque, que no solo se limita al sector Mochima ubicado a pocos kilómetros del límite entre ambos estados, las vistas en esta carretera son increíbles, inicias con la montaña de la cordillera de la costa, en la autopista Antonio José de Sucre, también se consiguen zonas montañosas más altas y frías como los Altos de Santa Fe y posteriormente se aprecian las increíbles vistas de las mencionadas playas, pintorescos pueblos costeros, senderos y hermosos lugares para quienes aman la aventura en la naturaleza.
After traveling several kilometers and taking in the beautiful mountain views from the highway, we stopped at Playa Colorada; I loved the landscape, the scenery, and the blue hue of the water, as well as the mountains in the background and on either side, creating a charming setting perfect for relaxing, going for walks, and taking lovely photos. Just a short distance past Playa Colorada lies Playa Arapito—one of my favorites up to that point—thanks to its incredible panoramic views, water temperature, and shaded areas for protection from the sun; it is a spacious, popular beach with very soft sand.
Although our visit was brief—shorter than I would have liked—it was an excellent journey that allowed me to take in the surroundings: the mountain on one side and the various shaded areas where visitors can relax in comfortable chairs by the water’s edge, enjoying the breeze and the murmur of the waves—a sound I personally find very relaxing. We then continued along the road, making stops to admire the beautiful scenery and the way the mountain hugs the coastline, creating spectacular vistas worth seeing.
It was a beautiful drive along this route, taking in the charming landscapes, idyllic beaches, lush vegetation, and fresh morning breeze; I hope to return in the near future with plenty of time to explore each spot thoroughly, without rushing, and fully enjoy the enchanting scenery.
Luego de recorrer varios kilómetros y observar las hermosas vistas de la montaña desde la autopista, hicimos una parada en playa Colorada, me gustó el paisaje, las vistas y el tono azul del agua, también la presencia de la montaña al fondo y a los lados, que forman un encantador entorno ideal para descansar, hacer caminatas y sacar lindas fotografías, luego de playa Colorada se recorren pocos kilómetros y se llega hasta la playa Arapito, una de mis favoritas hasta ese momento, por las increíbles panorámicas, la temperatura del agua y las enramadas para protegerse del sol, esta playa es amplia, concurrida y de arena muy suave.
Aunque estuvimos poco tiempo, mucho menos del que me hubiese gustado, fue un excelente recorrido que me permitió observar el entorno, la montaña a uno de los lados y las diferentes enramadas donde Los visitantes pueden descansar en cómodas silla a la orilla del mar, disfrutando la brisa y el murmullo de las olas, que en lo personal me gusta mucho ese sonido por lo relajante que es, a continuación retomamos el camino pero haciendo paradas para observar el hermoso paisaje y como la montaña bordea el mar creando espectaculares paisajes dignos de admirar.
Fue un hermoso recorrido por esta arteria vial, observando sus encantadores paisajes, paradisíacas playas, exuberante vegetación y la fresca brisa de la mañana; espero en un futuro cercano ir con suficiente tiempo a cada una de ellas para hacer un recorrido completo, sin prisa y disfrutar los encantadores paisajes.
