Lily woke up early today. Very early. 5.50am she came over, with Shio (my stuffed animal that she has adopted/abducted) in one arm and Astrid Lindgren's "Michel aus Lönneberga" in the other, cheerfully wishing me a good morning and how beautiful the weather was.
Which she was right about. But I'm the flat had been very warm overnight, something that is not normal. It usually cools down quickly here at night, but recently it just doesn't. It's like summer in northern Germany where I grew up. No need for sheets!
So, that warmth had given us a rough night. She had woken up several times with nightmares or just mumbling, which usually wakes me up. And it wasn't the best sleep for her, either. Luckily, she fell asleep again after snuggling for only two minutes. Phew.
That gave me time to get up and start her breakfast. She was still in a good mood when I woke her up again, and we didn't have any problems, she was on time with everything.
When in school, I hit the gym (leg day...) and then did some work on the computer. I fell asleep during my meditation, which resulted a lot longer than usually due to that. But I woke up refreshes and with a good amount of energy.
I did my chores and then picked her up at school. We invited to friends of hers to eat with us at a local restaurant. The friends are leaving tonight for Cuenca, to live there. Lily is quite said because of that. They played for a couple of hours after lunch, and ran around like crazy at the playground. Then they hugged each other (and me) vigorously.
We'll miss them.
I had to run to get a new block for homeworks for Lily. She somehow lost her old one. She did her homework very nicely and is already sound asleep. Lucky her. Now it's my turn, too.
Have a good night!
