Today, I want to share my latest freestyle collage for LMAC, which I actually finished yesterday afternoon. I was supposed to post it yesterday, but as usual... I got completely distracted after clicking on just one YouTube video. One video led to another, and before I knew it, I was deep down a late-night rabbit hole and totally forgot to write this post. Lol.
Anyway, when I started making this collage, I had just one goal in mind, I wanted to create something bold, vibrant, and full of contrast.
I started with the background. I chose a mountain landscape paired with a bright, golden-yellow sunset sky. Why yellow? I wanted a color that felt punchy and immediately caught the eye. In front of those mountains, I tucked in classical pillars on the left and right. In my mind, these pillars act like a magical portal, framing a clear blue sky and bright clouds right into the center of the composition.
and then our main character, a mysterious figure in a vintage red dress topped with a striped hat. What makes her stand out is her pigeon head and a gaze that's pretty hard to read. To amplify the surreal vibe, I added a full moon right above it.
