Hello, fellow Hivers and LMAC community!
I hope you're all doing well. It's nice to be back and share another collage with you. I hope you enjoy this little piece of mine!
Lately, I've been enjoying the process to create something with its own story. I've also been trying to focus on using a bold color palette to make the artwork feel more alive. This time, I wanted to experiment with a combination of classical statues, cutout hands, and a small heart in the middle. But there's one detail that keeps catching my attention whenever I look at the finished piece.
In the center, there's a large statue crying blood, while the other statues around it choose to close their eyes. Among them, colorful hands reach out toward a small, glowing heart.
For me, there's something interesting about this contrast. The largest figure seems to be the one suffering the most, while the others appear to choose ignorance. Yet, in the middle of it all, the little heart remains the center of attention. Its glow makes it stand out, and all the hands reach toward it, as if everyone wants something from it.
I deliberately combined the pale classical statues with bold, striking colors to make each element feel as though it came from a different world. I also like how the expressions of the statues create a cold atmosphere, even with so many hands moving around them.
Maybe everyone will interpret this image differently. Personally, there's one question that keeps coming to mind, when suffering is right in front of us, why do we sometimes choose to turn away?
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to look at my work.
