Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. Here I’m participating in Round 252 of the community’s creative contest, “Let’s Make a Collage,” in which we’re given an image as a starting point to let our imaginations run wild and turn it into something completely different; for this round, we were given this image of an alleyway surrounded by building walls. I transformed it to create this scene that immerses us in the ocean and an ancient stone city. The alley’s gray asphalt disappeared long ago, buried beneath a soft, dense carpet of moss that now breathes to the rhythm of the ocean currents. Today, the water is so crystal-clear that it’s invisible; colorful fish swim peacefully from window to window. On the walls, exotic plants have learned to bloom beneath the sea, stretching their green leaves toward an emerald light filtering down from the surface. In the middle of this submerged corridor, a mermaid rests silently on the damp rocks. She is the guardian of the ruins... I used Photoshop CS5 Extended to create my collage; I hope you like it.
