Hi, Aliens!
In the past week, I've been exploring how to create a fog effect on images using Difference Clouds effect in Adobe Photoshop. Previously, I had just completed the glow effect, and this time I was looking to combine it in my design that I was working on.
Staying true to the same theme, cats once again take center stage in my artwork. It seems I still have an obsession with using cat models in my creations. Several designs I've produced before revolved around the theme of cats, and this time, I aim to add yet another to the collection.
In this image, a small island is inhabited by unidentified creatures awaiting the arrival of night to hunt their prey. According to rumors, they are a type of cat vampire ready to pounce in the darkness. Their eyes, if stared into, are said to haunt your thoughts.

Actually, I created this image two days ago, but I was momentarily perplexed in choosing the right colors. Therefore, I set it aside for a while and only managed to complete it today.
In the initial design, I used green as the background to blend with the grass, but the result was less satisfying. Eventually, I changed it to black and added a circle with the brush tool, creating a sunset effect.
As mentioned earlier, in this design, I applied two new elements I recently learned: the light and fog effects. Applying Gaussian blur with a radius of 50 to the circular object and changing the layer to screen provided a bright effect against the dark background. I also added shadows to different parts of the cat.
I included some butterflies to complement the design, adding a light reflection effect using the brush tool on the grass and the cat's body. I reduced saturation by applying exposure to the front and brightening the back.
The final step was to introduce a fog effect using the Difference clouds filter, then refining it through masking and brushing on the desired areas.
