Even as a child I went mushrooming with my father in the forest, I always found it very nice to be outside in nature and to search for his Dinner.1.jpg

Mushrooms taste really good to me and a year ago I saw a documentation about mushroom cultivation, it seemed to be very easy to clone mushrooms and especially oyster mushrooms. So I started it and bought oyster mushrooms in the organic market, a bit older with a bit of white fluff (mycelium)

That's how it's done:
Just cut the cardboard so that the piece covers the bottom of the glass. Let hot water run over the cardboard until it is soaked. Peel off the top layer of cardboard and place pieces of the mushroom stalks on the undulating middle layer. Cover the whole with the previously peeled cardboard layer and put the sandwich in the glass. Then you screw the lid on it and put it in some dark and warm corner.626059.jpg

After two days, mycelium should already burst out of the mushroom pieces, after a week it should appear on all sides. If, a few days later, you do not see any more cardboard because of your cotton wooly mycelium, then it's time to give him something to eat.

Now we need coffee grounds,
I always mix it with straw pellets from the zoo business, but it should work without it. I mix the coffee grounds with water to a pulp, not thin liquid, but not too tough and cook it off briefly. Then I add straw pellets until it's still very wet but not wet anymore. After cooling, I give a thin layer (about 1 - 2 cm) on the growing cardboard.

The mycelium takes a break for a day or two and then grows through the substrate. When it's completely through, the next shift comes. Once the mycelium is stronger, you can apply thicker layers until the glass is full at some point.

The disadvantage of this method is that you repeatedly prepared and refilled small amounts of substrate. I always put several glasses on, so I do not have to touch tiny portions.

The advantage is that you do not have to work super-sterile, as cardboard does not mold so easily and you ensure that the mushroom mycelium can colonize its substrate faster than any evil germs.

Feed the mushroom culture every 3-4 days and set the glass dark and warm about 30 degrees until the glass completelywhite is traversed with mycelium

Next, I've built a fruiting chamber as explained to the video im my Blog https://steemit.com/life/@batoananda/0wqip6ml

Next, open the glass and place it in the fruiting room, wade for 1-2 weeks and you will see the first mushrooms712323.jpg

I wish you a lot of fun growing your own delicious mushrooms , Here is a recipe https://steemit.com/cooking/@batoananda/bavarian-bread-dumplings-with-mushroom-sauce

Do not give up too quickly. In some cases, the mold can be stronger than the mushroom, so make several glasses. If you do not want to build a chamber, you can also just take a transparent box and spray with a spray bottle 3 times a day. Put 2 glasses of water in it for the moisture, air will come in when you open it for spraying985810.jpg
