Day 15!!! OMG officially halfway through inktober and I am already tired XD damn keeping up this consistency seriosly takes a lot of braincells from me. I never expected that committing to an event would be the hardest challenge of my October ;;-;; but I feel like this experience will just prompt me to prepare sooner for next year's inktober and for my next few art challenges.
For today's prompt word, it is dagger and this is actually one of the prompt words I've been looking forward to because I wanted to do a sort of femme fatale and vampire inspired drawing.
This is how that idea went:
Duration: 1.5 hours
Materials: Black pen, Black ink, White gel pen, chalk
First off, I definitely love this concept because it sort of gives off that "stake to the heart" kind of vibe. Not so much on the femme fatale I was hoping for because it screamed more dark feminine energy from this where she was willing to sacrifice herself for som higher purpose and now I'm questioning whether this is what I'm feeling right now... but then... I've been working a lot more lately but I take it as a form of distraction than as a means of sacrifice because I still earn so idk. Maybe this is a more subconscious and lingering thought than present situation.
Anyways, on to the process. I'll be honest with you guys... I didn't take a lot of photos of this one today because I forgot XD
This was when I was starting out the drawing and I was sketching out the shapes and everything. I didn't really need the pencil sketch this time because I was thinking that my hands and my pen were light enough for it to look like pencil lines. and it actually does.
Then by the time I remembered to take a shot again, I was almost done with it ;;-;;
I told myself to take a shot one hour into the process but i don't know, it slipped my mind and I only realized that I didn't take as much progression shots as I hoped when I was writing the blog XD
So I hope you guys forgive me for that, my goal for today was to finish my workload but to squeeze this in by my lunch break and that's exactly what I've been doing lately unless I can't manage to leave my workload because something might explode.
So this is where I have to cut off this blog because my break is coming to an end and I have to get back to the samples I've been processing. This has been day 15 and help me pray and manifest that I can finish all 31 days without any more delays ;;w;;
