And so we've reached m last adventure day in Siquijor and the start of my budding romance XD
For the last day on Siquijor, we finally agreed on a more chill scenic route. No swimming, no more being cooked and definitely no more big surprises XD cuz that underground river reaaalllyyy was something to laugh about. No, this time we were just going to ride the tuktuk, walk, take pictures and eat, this was what we agreed on. And I'm glad we held onto that agreement cuz the last few days were really exhausting but refreshing, sure but you can really tell that the body felt everything we did.
After breakfast we quickly cleaned up and texted our tuk tuk driver cuz apparently this man really enjoyed driving for us and keeping us company since we were both just fun and peaceful people, according to him. And to me, I would count that as a compliment since my presence I enjoyed. He is a bit nosy though but he's fine and he did a wonderful job of mapping the tours for us so that getting back to the hotel wouldn't take that long, especially since we told him that we wanted to go for one last dip in the ocean together before I had to go back to Manila for work.
Our first stop was Kanharon Ranch ([//]:# (!worldmappin 9.22301 lat 123.55534 long d3scr)) which is a private cowboy collection
Nothing that ineresting, really, just a lot of tools, a lot of random junk then that was it. Th location was pretty, for sure, and it was actually partially closed when we were there because the place was rented out for a wedding the next day.
The next stop was I think, the church which was built in the 1400s. Fascinating church cuz across from it is a convent turned museum and I had a full display of papal robes then we were arguing about popes and of course he would know more because he's older but I just enjoy learning from him.
I could not pin the church on the map though
This was the church and asked him to light candles with m and find their practice particular because they set their candles lying instead of upright. I asked if there was a reason behind it but they never said why. Then behind it was an open altar and it was so cool
Because there was this huge central tree that was maybe as old as the church and it completely branched out and covered the benches from the sun plus it was so fresh over there that it was just fascinating.
This is the convent and the view of the church from the convent.
The next stop was infinity heights resort then a lot of overlooking places where the view was just magnificent
I don't think took photos from the view deck because after all that walking we started to get hungry so we asked if we could have lunch so our driver took u to this really cool Cafe called BuCafe which is short for Bukid cafe (Field cafe) ([//]:# (!worldmappin 9.16603 lat 123.52341 long d3scr)) and their selection was.... interesting XD
So on the menu, this was listed as "Frozen Iced tea" and I was expecting like really really cold cd tea but no, you literally get frozen Iced tea XD
And the food selection was fascinating because it has Spanish food on the listing ad they're actually good
I had the cheesy chicken pasta and he had Bitsuelas which is beans. Fascinating food but even more fascinating cafe because you're expected to take of your shoes
We did try to ask our driver to come eat with us but this time he refused and excused himself to attend a fiesta just 10 minutes away from the spot. So we ended up staying there for an hour or so, just eating and chatting ^^ and it as a really nice late lunch.
After that, we went to lugnason falls ([//]:# (!worldmappin 9.14862 lat 123.53371 long d3scr)) ad as agreed on, we didn't swim but we did watch the people jump from the tower XD I definitely couldn't do that but it was definitely amusing to watch.
We spent maybe like 30 minutes there, just resting a watching from afar because we just ate, after all. Last stop was the butterfly sanctuary ([//]:# (!worldmappin 9.19163 lat 123.60266 long d3scr)) and I really liked that place UwU the butterflies were so pretty! And it was a shame that we only got to see the highland one because apparently there was a lowland sanctuary too but we might not have made it in time if we rn for it so we took our time just enjoying this one.
So these shots were all from his phone but I asked him I I could use it and he said yes XD he has a better phone than I do UwU
I think we spent a hour there then spent the last 15 minutes sitting very still in an attempt to get a butterfly to land on either of us XD it was funny.
After that, we got back to the place fairly early a went for one final swim and snorkeling trip because the water was rally calm and clear by the time we got back plus there was still sun!
Last night together there then I packed up and got ready for my travel back to manila the next day.
Okay my last installment of this island trip was lengthy but I think because it had the most destinations XD
The next adventure I had with him was in manila because he followed me to Manila the day after I left XD so that's another thing to stay tuned for. See you guys again!
