Today we will have #WednesdayWalk. But we will not walk around the Kazan Cathedral in the city center.

Instead, we will visit Leo Tolstoy Square.

The house with towers in St. Petersburg, also known as the Rosenstein — Belogrud House, is a building on Leo Tolstoy Square, facing the central part of Kamennoostrovsky Avenue and facing side facades on Bolshoy Prospekt and Leo Tolstoy Street. Thanks to two powerful hexagonal bay window towers, the building has become the architectural dominant of Leo Tolstoy Square.

A really unusual house. It clearly stands out from the general background and refreshes this area. Petrogradskaya metro station is very close by.

And all this is located in the oldest district of the city.

It is very good that modern builders have not yet reached here. I hope that this will never happen. Here every house and every street is unique. These are living witnesses of our history.
