Look at me, folks! Finally, a #mushroommonday post!
Sadly, I did not find these morels my brother did 5,000km away in Kettle Moraine Forest, Wisconsin.
Gathering Morels in Wisconsin is a rite of passage and it is an honor growing up when someone offers you to take you along and show you the “hot spots” and teach you some insider tips on finding them.
A good friend of ours took my brother out a few years ago and showed him a few spots and my brother went back out there last weekend and lucked out.
Even though wisconsin is unseasonably dry this year he found quite a few and was able to rehydrate them in some water.
He said they turned out great and enjoyed a delicious meal for his efforts! Proud that my brother has taken such an interest in mushroom hunting and a little jealous 🤣
