Timbaland & Justin Timberlake Team Up with ESPN for Monday Night Football
ESPN is stepping up its game for Monday Night Football with an exciting musical partnership. Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are joining forces with the network for the 2023-24 NFL season. They'll be curating music for specific Monday Night Football games, adding star power to the season.
Starting with the Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets game on September 11, their curated music will be featured in promotional spots, live telecasts, and pre-game shows for seven weeks. The collaboration will be supported by Beatclub, a music creator platform founded by Timbaland. This platform's users and A&R team will contribute to crafting the music for the season.
According to ESPN Senior Director of Sports Marketing, Curtis Friends, "Football and music go hand-in-hand, like the iconic Timbaland and Justin Timberlake duo, who collaborate on music to near perfection." This partnership brings together the excitement of sports and the allure of music for fans. Previous seasons featured music curators like Diplo, DJ Khaled, Drake, and Marshmello, and this year's addition of Timbaland and JT is expected to energize fans even more.
The debut collaboration between Timbaland, Timberlake, and Nelly Furtado, titled "Keep Going Up," will set the tone for the Bills vs. Jets game on September 11. The single follows their first joint effort, "Give It to Me," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007. This exciting musical kickoff will enhance the viewing experience as fans tune in to witness Aaron Rodgers' Jets debut against the Bills.
To catch the game and enjoy the musical collaboration, mark your calendars for September 11 at 8:15 p.m. ET. You can tune in on ESPN, ABC, ESPN2, ESPN+, and ESPN Deportes.
