After about five months without posting in this section, I’m back today with one of these music posts that I used to do fairly regularly for quite some time. The idea is still pretty much the same: to share a song I like, explain a little about how I came to discover it, and add some fun facts.
During this time, my Spotify playlist kept growing quite a bit, mainly because I kept finding new songs and rediscovering others I hadn't listened to in a long time. So after several months, I figured it was a good time to pick up this section again.
Me Puedo Programar — Virus
My musical choice for this post is “Me Puedo Programar” by Virus—one of those songs I’ve known for years thanks to the huge influence Argentine rock had in my home since I was a kid.
As I’ve mentioned in other posts, much of my love for Argentine rock comes directly from my mother. She lived through a very important era for this genre during her youth, and thanks to that, I grew up listening to artists like Charly García, Serú Girán, Soda Stereo, Los Redondos, and Virus as well.
Over time, I ended up exploring many of those artists on my own and embracing much of that music as my own. Charly García remains my favorite Argentine artist, but Virus is one of those bands I’ve always strongly associated with the sound of the ’80s in Argentina.
“Me Puedo Programar” is a song I’ve always liked because of its rhythm and that electronic sound so characteristic of Virus. It features a blend of rock, new wave, and synthesizers that makes it sound quite unique even today.
The song is part of Relax, an album released by Virus in 1984. That album also features other well-known tracks like “Amor Descartable” and “Sentirse Bien.”
Federico Moura was one of the band’s most important figures and one of the most recognizable voices in Argentine rock during those years. For me, “Me Puedo Programar” is another one of those songs that really captures that entire musical era—one I first discovered through my family and later explored on my own.
Advertising Space
Among the projects I’m currently working on is Hive NFTs, one of the most widely used platforms within my ecosystem. It’s a marketplace focused on NFTs from games and projects built on the Hive Engine, designed to make it easier to buy, sell, and search for assets across different collections.
Over time, I’ve added new features, filters, and improvements to make the platform more user-friendly and adapt it to the needs of each game. Currently, Hive NFTs supports Rising Star Game, Big Dog Bone, Cryptoshots, DemoniCore, and PirateSaga, though the plan is to continue expanding this list in the future.
